If your condition requires X-rays to be taken, we offer this service here in our office with no need for long waits at the hospital. The West Virginia Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners allows X-rays of the foot and ankle to be taken by a licensed Podiatric Medical Assistant Certified. So with Dr. Cain's assistant; Katie Knott, PMAC on staff, X-rays can be taken and developed on site for your convenience.
Dr. Cain works closely with various labs to provide his patients with the best service and care that he can. DPM Orthotics, Inc. is our primary source for custom orthotics. A mold of your foot is casted here in the office and sent to the lab for them to produce an orthotic device made exactly to fit your foot. These devices are worn in the shoe to offer the proper support for your foot or to accomidate most common foot deformities.
Another lab that is used often is BAKO Pathology Services. Bako is a trusted physician-owned provider of a wide array of pathology services to help diagnose problems with the nails, skin, bone and even nerves.
